COVID-19 Updates

TMEA music events and meetings scheduled from March 16th through 29th are to be suspended.
Decisions on the impact of COVID-19 on all future TMEA events and competitions will be communicated as they become available.

The TMEA Executive Board reserves the right to serve as an appellate committee on all matters listed below.

  • Any student, parent, director, school official, or concerned party may submit an appeal.

  • Appeals must be submitted in writing to or by the Region Division Chair within 72 hours following the conclusion of the audition or the infraction.

  • Appeals shall be heard in the order defined below based on the matter being appealed.

  • Entities referenced in the appeals process are defined as follows:

    • Region Division Chairs - Band, Orchestra, Vocal, Elementary, College

    • Region Steering Committee - Region President, Region Vice-President, Region Secretary, All Region Division Chairs (Band, Orchestra, Vocal, Elementary, College)

    • Region Chair Committee - Region Chairs involved in the Area Audition.

    • Presidents Committee - President, Immediate Past-President, President-Elect
